This is my first blog since the middle of October! 🙂 One of my New Years resolutions is to practice more of what I preach, so here I go…
SEO in Denver is a funny thing, because we are not what you would consider a major search market Many companies are led to believe that they HAVE to be on the first page of Google, but in fact there are many times that I tell clients that doing an SEO campaign isn’t worth it, to determine this there are several factors to consider:
- what industry are you in
- how much search traffic is there for what you do
- what is your sales territory
- how much competition do you have
These are just a few of the things to consider. Companies many times are better served by doing what we consider Maps Marketing which is getting your company listed on Google+ Local, Yahoo Local, Bing Local and about 300 other local directories. Many local businesses like dentists, car shops, plumbers and more see a huge benefit in this.
Other businesses may be better served by ensuring that they have a 5 star reputation, by doing Reputation Marketing, you can make sure that when people find you they know that you are the best choice.
I guess what I am trying to get across is that while SEO is a hot buzzword, it is not always the right way to market your business. If you want to get a professional opinion, give us a call and we can let you know what might work best for you.
